Introduction
The Truck Driver will be responsible for ensuring all loads reach customers ODIFOT (On day, In full, On time) and ensuring company assets are managed (Truck & Trailers)
Job description
• • Drive & Maintain Delivery vehicle & trailer and Fuel consumption
• • Perform daily load plan by ensuring loads are delivered on time and in full
• • Assume responsibility for all stock on truck and ensure all required documentation is available
• • Adherence to client receiving procedures
• • Adherence to company returns procedure
• • Collect pallets and boards & capture correctly on return sheet
• • All POD’s to be signed by receiver / EPOD
• • Ensure customer service is according to World Class Standards
• • Report all incidents and accidents to superior
• • Manage Driver Assistants to ensure loads are loaded and offloaded in accordance with route plan.
Minimum requirements
Education, experience & competencies required:
• • Grade 12
• • Valid Code 14 driver License with PRDP
• • Heavy duty driving experience
• • Good communication and customer service experience
• • Ability to negotiate and build customer relations for replenishment ordering would be advantageous
