Introduction
We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Raw Materials Team Leader role based in our Cape Town operation, situated at Corner of Glucose Avenue & Kasseslvlei Road, Bellville South, Cape Town, 7530. To take charge and responsibility for inventory receiving, inventory storage management and issuing to production. The objective of this role to to track inventory from receiving, keeping complete and up to date traceability of stock movement. Ensure minimum inventory levels are always maintained. Communicate with the supply chain coordinator to ensure timely delivery of raw materials to ensure uninterrupted production. Take ownership of raw material storage in compliance with the requirements set out in datasheets, specifications or dictated by legislation e.g., Health & Safety.
Job description

Deliverables in this Role:
 
·        Supervise raw materials store
·   Goods receiving – receipt and verify of deliveries to site; liaise with supply chain coordinator for timely receiving of stock. Updating of accounting system regarding deliveries 
·        Stock control - organise and conduct cycle counts and full stock counts and follow up on variances, maintain inventory levels and manage traceability of all raw materials
·        Generate and Maintain FIFO/FEFO System
·        Raw Materials issue & returns – to and from production as per production plan
·        Verify daily usages regarding production
·        Reporting
·        Communicate effectively with other departments.
·        Ensure compliance with FSSC – by doing regular checks to avoid non-conformance



Minimum requirements

·        Matric / Grade 12
·        Qualification in Supply Chain/Logistics/Warehouse
·        Food Safety Certification
·        2-3 Years hands stock control experience – preferably in a warehouse
·        ERP System knowledge.
·        Background in FMCG industry
·        Valid Drivers and Forklift license
·        Document control; Computer Literacy and arithmetic skills
·        Communication skills – be comfortable to communicate and collaborate with internal customers
·        Leadership skills; Initiative and taking ownership
·        Excellent Organisation and spatial reasoning skills
·        Decision making and judgement
·        Strong analytical and planning skills
