Responsible for managing and motivating cross-functional teams in the development of advertising, promotion, packaging, product development and operations. Helps develop and execute effective commercial strategies and lead consumer communications to ensure high quality communications that deliver desired objectives.

Market Data Analysis
 
o   Analysis of consumer, customer trends and categories to assist in identifying product categories to enter as future sources of growth.
o   Drives consumer understanding and insights that defines our consumer needs, attitudes and values in order for consumers to have stronger and more impactful brand experiences.
o   Analysis of consumer, category, competition and channel/customer as part of the situation assessment.

Translating Marketing Strategy Development into Implementation Plans:
 
o   Brand ownership to support brand vision, positioning, architecture and achieve overall business goals for the brand
o   Engages, inspires and motivates the organisation around the brand vision, positioning and strategies
o   Participates in brand strategy discussions and in setting an accurate consumer target audience
o   Develop integrated creative communication programmes for existing and new platforms
o   Development and management of advertising campaigns and media plans
o   Planning of promotions and activations
o   Create and execute the brand strategies and plans
o   Brand plan execution within allocated budget
o   Responsible for regular ongoing tactical management of the brand
 
Brand Plan Development and Execution:
 
o   Develop annual brand plans that align with organizational objectives
o   Plans to be built on clear insights with focus on growth and brand equity
 
Financials:
 
o   Conducts monthly analysis of the brand, competition, category, customer and consumer trends and identify areas of improvements or concerns
o   Build action plans to address the issues
o   Understand the full financials of the brand and its impact on the business
o   Develops pricing and pack strategies, improved margin mix, distribution goals in order to develop actionable KPI’s
o   Controls brand budget monthly
 
NPD & Cross Functional Teams:
 
o   Analyse market, consumer and competitive information to support brand in setting new product development
o   Lead cross functional teams on the NPD projects with clear objectives and feasibility studies via the Change management process
o   Develop financial and market analysis to quantify concept opportunities.
o   Develop and implement brand review process to ensure alignment across all functions
o   Develop product and launch plans to introduce a new products or campaigns


Minimum requirements

·        Marketing/Business Tertiary qualification (degree) as minimum
·        Previous FMCG marketing experience (5 years minimum)
