Introduction
Join our team at Twizza! The successful candidate will be the custodian of the Management System (FSSC 22000 / HACCP / ISO), ensuring full adherence and continuous improvement thereof. Responsible for plant hygiene (including microbiological control), incoming material quality, in-process controls, finished product compliance, and adherence to customer and regulatory specifications. The role ensures that safe, legal, and quality beverages are consistently produced while protecting the brand and minimizing business risk.
Job description

Micro Performance
  • Microbiological measurement, monitoring and validation of processes across equipment, utilities (water, air), environment and finished product. Verification of cleaning regimes (CIP & COP), environmental swabbing programs, and corrective action implementation. Trending and reporting of micro results.
Non-conforming product quality (Product destruction and customer complaints) 
  • Investigate deviations to standards using structured root cause analysis (5 Why / Fishbone). Implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA). Manage product holds, releases, and destruction processes. Drive reduction in customer complaints and internal rejects.
Incoming Quality Assurance
  • Approval and monitoring of raw materials, packaging materials and suppliers. Ensure COAs are verified, conduct inspections and testing as per sampling plans. Manage supplier non-conformances and supplier performance reviews.
Product Specification Management
  • Ensure all product specifications are current, approved and aligned with customer and regulatory requirements. Control change management processes and ensure label compliance.
People Leadership
  • Lead, coach and develop the Quality Team. Close skills gaps through structured training plans. Foster a quality culture and partnership with Production and Engineering teams. Conduct performance management and succession planning
Management Systems Compliance
  • Ensure compliance to FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP and internal standards. Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits. Drive continuous improvement initiatives. Present monthly compliance performance at Food Safety meetings.
Health, Safety, Quality, Hygiene 
  • Conduct refresher training and inspections to ensure statutory compliance, GMP adherence and personal hygiene standards. Monitor pest control, cleaning verification, and environmental controls. Ensure readiness for regulatory inspections.
Laboratory & Testing Management
  • Ensure laboratory equipment calibration and validation. Oversee testing methods and ensure data integrity. Maintain accurate quality records and traceability systems.
Continuous Improvement & Risk Management
  • Lead risk assessments (HACCP reviews), identify vulnerabilities in process control, and implement preventative strategies to mitigate food safety and quality risks.

Minimum requirements

Education: 
 
  • Grade 12
  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Related
 
Experience: 
 
  • Must have 5 years of experience 
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization
  • ISO9001, ISO18000, ISO22000 
  • HACCP 
  • Hygiene Practices 
  • Quality Assurance/Internal Audit 
  • 2 years Laboratory Management
