As a Microbiology Intern, you will:
Conduct microbiological testing of raw materials, water, in-process and finished beverage products.
Perform environmental monitoring of production facilities.
Assist in interpreting test results and reporting non-conformances.
Support Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene audits.
Maintain and calibrate lab equipment and ensure accurate sample tracking.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Microbiology
- Never participated in an internship before (SETA-funded or otherwise)
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office
- Attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Passion for food safety and microbiological standards
