Job purpose: Ensure machine settings and operations are correct, or adjusted, to ensure that a pallet is stacked correctly, and wrapped in line with product specifications; while managing waste streams, and machine availability.
Job description

Operating process:
 
  • Operate palletiser Operator
  • Clean all the sensors in the robobox area as soon as possible before shift start. Make a 100% sure they are working correctly
  • Clean all the sensors on the pallet conveyor right through to the removing dock
  • Make sure the whole Palletiser conveyor area is clean at all times
  • Make sure gripper head rollers are slippery/clean
  • Make sure the board magazines are full at all times. During handover make sure they are full
  • Make sure the board magazines are positioned correctly so that boards are put correctly on pallets.
  • Receive your area in a clean, running condition
  • Hand your area over in a clean, running condition
  • Report all faults or problems asap
  • No lunch during flavour change
  • Stretch wrap Operator cover for palletiser operator during lunch and vice versa
  • Line 2
  • Do size change as per sop for palletiser
  • Make a 100% sure that everything is right by jogging the machine and checking the area where changes took place
  • Set the conveyors from the hole in the wall to the palletiser and run the appropriate size packs through it
  • Documentation as per QMS
  • Waste Management

  • Autonomous maintenance level 1 - 4
 
Cleaning in process
  • Machine process specific
 
Fault diagnosis and repair, root cause analysis (5Y) completion
  • Break down management 
  • Time to detect, time to correct
 
Housekeeping (5S)
  • General cleaning standards obtained and sustained
 
Health, safety, and quality
  • Safe work environment

  • Completion on QMS documents

Minimum requirements

Qualification:
·       Grade 12
 
Experience
·       6 months’ experience palletising and stretch wrapping equipment
·       1 years’ experience in beverage industry
