§ Ensure Production consistently meets budget, goals, targets, and due dates-created value for business.
§ Stock losses / store variances.
§ Line productivity yield/ Labour productivity
§ Control and reduction of power and fuel consumption
Manage headcount budget and overtime
§ Deviations and trend are timeously detected and revealed when found, formulate action plan for recovery and improvement example stock taking.
§ Consistently ensure SHEQ management practices is applied, and site conforms to regulatory and QMS requirements. “Risk Audits”
Work procedures and processes are aligned and improved to ensure smooth flow of work across departments§ Manage, develop, and motivate the Production team – to achieve Production objectives
§ Put plans in place for team development in line with the Care & Growth philosophy.
§ Create and foster an environment and culture of teamwork
Adopt an inclusive team leadership approach§ Plan, organize, direct, and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed customers’ expectations
§ Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing costs and maintaining current quality standards
§ Be responsible for production output, product quality
§ Implement operational strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus
§ Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions
§ Collect and analyse data to minimize costs i.e., waste / overtime etc.
§ Commit to plant safety procedures
§ Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets
Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts
§ Adherence of food safety and hygiene in the Production area, process, and personnel safety
§ New project implementation of capacity short falls and constraints
§ ERP Implementation
§ Assisting QA to formulate and implementation of ISO standard and other certification
§ Providing support to production to improve overall plant hygiene level
Internal / External Audit
Minimum requirements
· Grade 12
· Academic background bachelor’s degree is essential
· Degree (Manufacturing / Technical) is an added advantage
Experience
· 5-10 years of relevant corporate experience.
· Food, beverage, or high-speed packaging experience.
· At least 3 years at managerial level.
· Strong track record of delivering results in a manufacturing role.
· Computer literacy
· Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
