We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Technical Manager role based at our Queenstown operation, situated at 1 Arkwright Street, Komani Industrial Park, Komani.
Purpose of the Job:
As the GMR2.1 for the plant, the incumbent is required to lead the plant maintenance programme on site while ensuring a safe working environment in compliance to the regulations; to carry out regular checks on all the manufacturing equipment ensuring that it can produce to the desired machine efficiency; to draw up and maintain a maintenance schedule and procure required spares; to draw up and continuously update Maintenance SOP’s; to manage all maintenance personnel; be responsible for total asset care, including the buildings; and to be involved with the planning, coordination and control of Manufacturing processes.

Key Performance Areas:
- ISO45001 implementation and compliance.
- FSSC22000 accreditation and compliance.
- Cost management (Control maintenance and CAPEX budgets).
- Staff supervision and training.
- Machine efficiencies, plant utilization.
- Preventative, scheduled maintenance planning and execution.
- Total asset care which includes facility maintenance.
Manufacturing Performance:
• Plan upgrades and new production lines
• Maximise machine efficiencies and plant utilisation
• Daily walk through
• Number of call outs
Maintenance Budget planning, costing and implementation:
• Planning, costing and implementation
• Control maintenance and CAPEX budgets
• Monitoring for adherence to plan
• Start up times met
Staff Supervision and training:
• Training and Development
• Performance monitoring
Maintenance Planning:
• Comprehensive Maintenance Plan per machine
• Preventative, scheduled maintenance planning and execution
• Cost per maintenance day
Total asset care, including that of all facilities:
• Planning, costing and implementation
• R&M budget vs Actual
Health, Safety, Quality and Environment:
• Adhere to company policies and procedures

Minimum requirements
Qualification:
• B-Eng, BSc Electrical/Mechanical Degree
• Government Certificate of Competence -GCC (Preferably Factories Engineering)
Experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in FMCG and/or High speed packaging as the Technical Lead
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in FMCG and/or High speed packaging as the Technical Lead
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Maintenance Planning, Control and Execution
• 2 Years Supervisory Experience
• Experience in Automation, e.g. PLC’s
• Experience in instrumentation
