Introduction
To ensure the efficient, legal, conscientious and safe operation of company trucks to deliver allocated loads to customers on time and in full. Acting and communicating proactively to ensure all orders are delivered on the right day, at the right time, to the right location.
Job description
· Efficient driving and maintenance of company vehicle
· Execution of load plan and carry out brief instructions
· Exceptional customer service
· Ensure the product custody chain remains unbroken right up to the customer’s receiving
· Management and safe keeping of company assets including trucks, stock, pallets and boards
· Good interpersonal and customer relation skills / builds good relationships
· Excellent communication skills
· Have a working knowledge of relevant legislation and business operations
· Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and management
· Numerical ability
Minimum requirements
· Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
· Valid code 14 driver license with G&P on PRDP
· A minimum of 3 heavy duty driving experience
· Professional drivers permit (PrPD)
· be fluent in English and regional language
