The objective of this role We are seeking an NPD Project Lead to join the BDM team. The incumbent will lead execution and implementation of Twizza & Private Label projects at optimum cost, desired quality and compliant to local legislations and standards. The role will involve effectively managing Twizza NPD projects from concept to launch. Strong engagement with with suppliers and other stakeholders. Driven by competitor insights and analysis for continuous improvement to existing products. This role will ideally suit someone that is innovative, highly resourceful and has a good understanding of project management in the FMCG landscape.
Job description

Deliverables in this Role:

·        Effective project management of NPD in both Private Label and Twizza Brands.
·        Briefing and liaising with the suppliers on projects to ensure the briefs and deadlines are met.
·        Strong planning and project management capabilities to drive products from conception to launch.
·        Work with the Insights team to present new NPD ideas as well as creating artwork briefs with internal team & stakeholders.
·        Identify new process requirements for the development and implementation of new product development.
·        Working closely with production team throughout trials and actively managing project timelines.
·        Lead weekly project meetings and provide appropriate and timely feedback on all aspects of the projects including but not limited to evaluation feedback, project status update, back up plans to internal & external stakeholders.
·        Ability to network within the organization across regions with different stakeholders from cross-functions to deliver customer value.

Minimum requirements

What Education, Core Knowledge and Experience will afford me this opportunity?

·         Relevant tertiary qualification in Food Technology or Science would be an advantage but not a necessity for the role.
·        Project management courses or experience.
·        At least 3 years’ experience in FMCG & new product development, with a proven track record in project management.
·        Exp in managing NPD Projects end to end in FMCG industries.
·        Exp and a firm understanding of packaging technology, processes and legislation
·        Exp working with suppliers & strategic stakeholders
·        Strong communication skills both written & verbal
·        Self-disciplined, driven and goal oriented
