Introduction
We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for the General Worker role based in our Queenstown operation, situated at 1 Arkwright Street, Komani Industrial Park, Komani. The purpose of this job is to assist in the provision of general duties including yard cleaning, diesel fill up, truck washing and other general duties
Job description
Maintenance of equipment/ assets
- Clean equipment according to SOP
- Pallets & boards Sorted daily
Advise mechanic of machine/equipment problems
- Observe any issues and report to Mechanic
Diesel fill ups
- All truck to fill diesel before they leave the gate
Keep machinery clean
- Follow-housekeeping standards
- Assist in washing trucks
Health, Safety, Quality, Environment and FSSC 22 000
- Daily cleaning of site – papers, pallets and boards picked up
- Adhere to company health & safety policies.
- Adhere to standards.
- Adhere to all Food Safety Standards and report on all issues with regards to the Food Safety Management System to the Food Safety Team
Other General Duties
- Perform any other general duties as required by the company.
Minimum requirements
Qualification:
- Grade 12
Experience
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization.
