As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will:
Assist with mechanical inspections, fault finding, and preventative maintenance on production machinery.
Support line technicians and artisans in resolving breakdowns to minimise downtime.
Help implement production and maintenance improvement initiatives.
Ensure accurate maintenance reporting and adherence to safety and quality protocols.
Participate in machine efficiency optimisation and problem-solving sessions.
Minimum requirements
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (completed or currently completing Work Integrated Learning / In-Service Training)
No prior participation in a SETA-funded internship or graduate programme
Computer literate (especially MS Excel & Word)
Mechanical aptitude with interest in FMCG production equipment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good organisational and problem-solving abilities
Willingness to work shifts and in a high-pressure production environment
