Introduction
The SR Assistant is responsible for assisting the Syrup maker and Team Leader in the loading of the sugar silo for the simple syrup manufacturing process as well as assisting the syrup maker on shift in the mixing and preparation of such syrups. The SR Assistant is also expected to carry out any reasonable instruction given to him by either the syrup maker or the shift Team Leader.
Job description
- Make sure bags are clean and in good condition before decanting
- Ensure FIFO principles followed when decanting
- Ensure sugar is added at the correct quantity (1 Ton)
- Starting of stirrers while dissolving
- When sugar in tanks it must be stirred till dissolved properly
- Assisting in the syrup mixing or preparation process
- All process equipment and surrounding area must be kept clean
- Responsible for general housekeeping within the sugar and syrup room
- Must be prepared to carry out any lawful and reasonable instructions
- Make sure sugar stored on plastic pallets only
- Make sure sugar arrives in good condition not in damaged bags
- Adhere to company health & safety policies.
- Adhere to food safety standards.
- Adhere to all Food Safety Standards and report on all issues with regards to the Food Safety Management System to the Food Safety Team.
- Ensure that the Operational Prerequisite Programs (OPRP 2; OPRP 3; OPRP 4) are measured, monitored and verified at predetermined frequencies as per the SOP.
Minimum requirements
Qualification:
Grade 12
Valid FL License
Experience
6 months experience in beverage industry
